On Tuesday, December 2nd, the S.S. 45 bis Gardesana Occidentale will be closed to traffic from 9 AM to 2 PM in the stretch between Riva del Garda and the provincial border. This closure is necessary to allow for rockfall mitigation work essential for the construction of the Garda Cycle Path, aimed at ensuring the safety of the rock faces along the route. The rockfall mitigation operations will involve scheduled rock blasts and will affect the area from the entrance of the “Casagranda” tunnel to the border with the Lombardy region. During the work, traffic disruptions will be adequately signposted, and the adjacent lakeside area will be closed to navigation, particularly in the zones marked in red on the published maps. These interventions are part of a broader project aimed at enhancing the safety and accessibility of the cycle path, with completion expected in the winter of 2025/2026. Italian Version
