Community Collaboration Boosts Support for Elderly and Disabled in Cornuda

On early June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most socially vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which has a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Social transport services, support services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.
