Community Initiative in Cornuda Enhances Support for Vulnerable Residents

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the end of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project in favor of the most socially vulnerable people.

Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in ^’ the initiative, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which has a duration of two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.

The total amount allocated for the implementation of the ^’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.

Activities and Expected Goals

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weaker categories.

Social transport and services, listening centers, and gathering spaces will also be expanded.

Purpose and Social Inclusion

The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for encounters and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

^l Municipal Administration has committed to support the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the different involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in the organization and management of activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
