Community Initiative Supports Vulnerable Residents in Cornuda
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project dedicated to supporting the socially most vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the implementation of the’ initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Union funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be strengthened.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for meetings and solidarity among citizens.
Role of Institutions and Associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the different involved components.
