Community Support Project Launches in Cornuda to Aid Vulnerable Groups

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the end of June 1996, an agreement was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for signing a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups.

Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in^’ the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which has a duration of two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality.

The total amount allocated for the implementation of^’ the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.

Activities and Expected Goals

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.

Social transport services, centers for listening and gathering, will also be strengthened.
