Cornuda Launches EU-Funded Project for Social Inclusion and Elderly Support

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be expanded, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity among citizens.

Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed itself to supporting these initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
