Cornuda Social Support Project Enhances Lives of Vulnerable Residents

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved several representatives from local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly people and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative’s implementation is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved entities.
