Cornuda Launches Two-Year Social Support Project for Vulnerable Groups
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last two years, aims particularly to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.
Planned Activities and Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the categories most in need. Additionally, social transportation, services, listening centers, and gathering spaces will be expanded.
