On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for signing a project in favor of the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association and various volunteer associations.
Objectives and funding
The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and community funds.
Planned activities and specific objectives
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weaker groups. Social transport will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.
