Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Launches with Local Support

On June 9, 1996, a convention took place in the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various voluntary organizations.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Goals

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the people involved, also creating opportunities for community gatherings and solidarity among citizens.

Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
