Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Supported by Local and EU Funds

Convention in Cornuda

On June 9, 1996, a convention took place at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Community funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for those involved, creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity.

The role of institutions and associations

The Municipal Administration has committed itself to supporting these initiatives by providing surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
