Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Supports Vulnerable Residents

Cornuda Agreement

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood associations, and various voluntary organizations.

The project, which will last two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total funds allocated for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and EU funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity.

The role of institutions and associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.

Voluntary associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable populations.
