Cornuda Social Project Aims to Support Elderly and Disabled Citizens

Start of the agreement and participants
On the end of June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project in favor of the most socially disadvantaged people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in ’ the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, aims especially to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the implementation of ’ the initiative amounts to around one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Union funds.
Activities and expected goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weaker categories.
Social transports and services will also be enhanced, along with listening centers and gathering spaces.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the people involved, also creating moments of gathering and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
l Municipal Administration has committed itself to supporting initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in’ organization and in the management of activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
