Cornuda Social Projects Improve Vulnerable Residents’ Lives

Start of the agreement and participants

On the end of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project in favor of the most socially vulnerable people.

Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in ^’ the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various voluntary organizations.

Objectives and funding

The project, which has a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.

The total amount allocated for the implementation of ^’ the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.

Activities and planned objectives

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.

Social transports and services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.
