Cornuda Social Support Initiative: Local Groups and Authorities Collaborate
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Community sources.
Proposed activities and objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be strengthened, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of those involved, creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
Overall, the agreement represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable individuals.
