Cornuda Social Support Project Promotes Inclusion and Community
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last for two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total allocated funding for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation services will also be enhanced and listening and gathering centers established.
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the people involved, also creating moments of encounter and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring vigilance and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
