Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Lives

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved representatives from local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funds allocated for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating moments of encounter and solidarity among citizens.

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
