Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Well-Being
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project in favor of the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will have a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for those involved, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The Municipal Administration has committed itself to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
