Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Wellbeing

On June 9, 1996, a convention took place at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, is primarily aimed at improving the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funding allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Additionally, social transport services will be strengthened, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity among citizens.

The role of institutions and associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing oversight and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
