Cornuda Social Support Project Launch Aims at Vulnerable Inclusion

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On early June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will have a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total sum allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weaker segments. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
