Cornuda Social Support Project Launch and Community Initiatives

Cornuda Convention

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, creating opportunities for social interaction and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed itself to support the initiatives by providing surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
