Cornuda Social Support Project Launch Enhances Living Conditions

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funds allocated for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and community funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
