Cornuda Social Support Project Launched by Local Authorities and Volunteers
Start of the agreement and participants
On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project to support the most socially vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the’ initiative, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the implementation of the’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization for the categories most in need.
Social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.

The project aims to foster social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the people involved, creating moments of meeting and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
l’ Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the different involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in the organization and management of activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
