Cornuda Social Support Project Launches, Aims to Improve Elderly & Disabled Lives

Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the day of the end of June 1996, a convention was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project supporting the socially most vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in ’ the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Goals and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the realization of ’ the initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.
Activities and Planned Objectives
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the categories most in need.
Social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and to improve the quality of life for the people involved, creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
l Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in the’ organization and management of activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
