Cornuda Social Support Project Launches to Aid Vulnerable Residents

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included certain representatives of local political and social forces, such as the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various voluntary organizations.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total funds allocated for the implementation of this initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and EU funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.

The role of institutions and associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at safeguarding and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable individuals.
