Cornuda Social Support Project Launches to Aid Vulnerable Residents
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project supporting the most socially vulnerable people.
Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and community funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable categories.
Moreover, social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering places will be strengthened.
