Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various voluntary organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last for two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the realization of the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.
Planned Activities and Specific Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Transportation services will also be enhanced, and listening and community centers established.
