Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with €100K Funding

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will have a two-year duration, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to foster social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for community encounters and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed itself to support the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various participating groups.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active community participation.
