Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with Local Partnership Initiative

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was signed at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for a project supporting the most socially vulnerable people. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Community funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the groups most in need. Social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering spaces will also be enhanced.
