Cornuda Social Support Project Launchs €100K Initiative for Vulnerable Residents

On June 9, 1996, a convention took place at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event involved several representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for community engagement and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing supervision and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
