Gianni Torboli Wins Stage at Tour of Italy Sailing Race
Brilliant achievement by the Rivano Olympic gold medalist Gianni Torboli at the Tour of Italy sailing race. The Fragliotto skipper, sailing the Trentino boat, won decisively the stage from Anzio to Castiglione della Pescaia, covering 133 miles. The second vessel, from Reggio Calabria, was left well behind.
Victory and Crew
Gianni Torboli managed to excel by taking advantage of the strong wind off the coast of Argentario. The crew includes Rivano Gianni Cenini, Marco Benamati from Malcesine who works at Polstato di Riva, and the Gardesans Olympic champions «Chicca» Salvà and Flavio Scala.
