A hiker was rescued by helicopter in Campione di Tremosine on July 26, 2024, after sustaining injuries along trail 267 in the early afternoon. The man was transported in yellow code to the civil hospital in Brescia, thanks to the intervention of the firefighters and alpine rescue teams, who operated both on the ground and from the air.
Fortunately, the incident was resolved without serious consequences, but it brings to mind a recent tragic event that occurred ten days prior nearby, where a 38-year-old Austrian guide lost his life in a similar accident in the Vione valley in Tignale.
