In recent days, there has been an increase in nautical inspections on Lake Garda as part of the “SecureLake 2025” operation conducted by the Naval Section of the Guardia di Finanza. Since the beginning of summer, authorities have carried out 87 inspections, resulting in 48 irregularities and fines totaling approximately 37,000 euros. The most common violations pertain to a lack of knowledge of navigation safety regulations, such as navigating close to shore and the absence of onboard documentation.
In addition to the inspections, the Guardia di Finanza has also conducted four rescue operations, successfully saving a total of eleven individuals in distress on the lake’s waters. The operation will conclude at the end of September and aims to ensure greater safety for all lake users, promoting a culture of responsible navigation that adheres to current regulations.
