Regional Initiative Supports Vulnerable Elderly and Disabled in Cornuda

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be strengthened, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
