Salò is gearing up to celebrate the adventures of Mister Croccantino, aka Giuseppe Zioni, with the presentation of the book “On the Roads of the 1000 Miglia,” scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, at 7 PM in the Sala dei Provveditori. The volume recounts the story of Zioni and his unique Fiat 600 Multipla, which has participated in an impressive 34 editions of the famous race from 1990 to 2023. The figure of Mister Croccantino is intertwined with childhood memories from the 1950s, when a simple croccantino was a rare treat, while the dream of racing with his own car has accompanied him throughout his life.
During the event, moderated by Professor Pino Mongiello, films and photographs of Zioni’s adventures will be screened, followed by an aperitif with a buffet that will include a tasting of the famous croccantino. A portion of the proceeds from the book sales will be donated to the CSE “Arcobaleno” of Roè Volciano, making this initiative not only a tribute to automotive passion but also a charitable gesture for the local community.
