On the weekend of August 2nd and 3rd, San Felice del Benaco is set to host two significant events in the realm of open water swimming: the 11th edition of the Giro dell’Isola del Garda and the 5th edition of the SwimRun Benacus. The event will kick off on Saturday with the Giro dell’Isola, a swimming competition featuring a 6 km course around the Island of Garda, as well as a shorter 2 km option for novice participants. Sunday will see the SwimRun Benacus take place, which combines running and swimming over a total distance of 16.6 km, divided into five running segments and four swimming segments, set against the stunning backdrop between the center of San Felice and the enchanting Isola Borghese.
Both events are organized by the Polisportiva San Felice with the support of local volunteers. In the previous edition, record numbers were achieved, with over 250 participants in the Giro dell’Isola and around 100 athletes in the SwimRun, hailing from five different countries. Registrations for this edition are open online until August 1st, 2025, promising a weekend filled with sports and nature along the beautiful shores of Lake Garda.
