By the end of the year, the municipal pharmacy of Sirmione will relocate to a new, larger facility located next to the current one. This move is part of a project aimed at improving the health services offered to the community, with the goal of creating a modern structure that meets the health and wellness needs of citizens. In the coming days, a designated parking area for users will be made available, while the current pharmacy will remain operational until the transfer is completed.
The municipal administration, led by Mayor Luisa Lavelli and Councillor Elena Boschi, is working to implement the model of the “Pharmacy of Services,” which aims to provide additional healthcare services beyond mere dispensing of medications. The pharmacy director, Dr. Camilla De Stanchina, is currently pursuing a master’s degree in service pharmacy to further develop this initiative. With the support of the Health Table and collaborations with healthcare professionals, the municipal pharmacy is preparing to offer screenings and telemedicine, thereby contributing to reducing inequalities in access to healthcare services.
