Explosion and blackout in Riva del Garda: urgent intervention by the firefighters
On the night of Thursday, September 11, an explosion shook Riva del Garda, specifically on via Negrelli, around 11:50 PM. Two underground medium-voltage manholes exploded due to a short circuit, causing a small explosion and thick smoke. This incident resulted in a blackout affecting much of the Busa area, prompting AGS technicians and law enforcement to respond swiftly to restore the situation.
During the emergency, a rescue operation was also necessary to free an elderly woman trapped in the darkness of an elevator on via Prati. The woman, along with her dog, was assisted by firefighters and brought to safety. Fortunately, no serious injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.
