Sirmione and Contemporary Art: the Work “Fragile” for Children’s Rights
SIRMIONE, on Sunday morning, hosted the installation of the latest work by the artistic duo Gianus, titled “Fragile”, positioned near the castle. Known as “the Banksy of the morainic hills,” the artists chose to address the theme of children’s rights through a canvas depicting a child symbolizing the innocent victims of conflict. In a statement, Gianus emphasized the importance of giving a voice to those who cannot express themselves, highlighting that the empty sign in the artwork is not a lack, but a space to be filled with collective awareness. The work aims to raise public awareness about dramatic issues such as hunger, thirst, and violence that affect the youngest around the world. The title “Fragile” underscores the vulnerability of children and the silent cry for help that often goes unnoticed. The artists invite reflection on how faint this plea for assistance can be and the importance of paying attention to these forgotten realities. Italian Version
