Supermoon over Lake Garda: Emma Pezzi’s goal

Yesterday, November 5, the sky put on an extraordinary display with the supermoon, the most anticipated astronomical phenomenon of the year. The Moon, approaching its perigee, appeared at a distance of 363,400 km from Earth, looking about 7% larger and 16% brighter than a standard full moon. The astrophile and astrophotographer Emma Pezzi, originally from San Felice del Benaco, captured this unique event with a shot taken at 5:10 PM between Villa di Salò and the Tormini, depicting the moon rising above Lake Garda towards Mount Baldo. Emma Pezzi’s image is a perfect example of the natural beauty of our region and a testament to the passion for astronomy. This phenomenon not only captivated enthusiasts but also highlighted how natural events can create unforgettable moments in the local landscape. Italian Version
