Lazise Takes on Sustainability: Bees, Agrochemicals and the Food Future

A conference titled “Il ronzio che scompare – Agrofarmaci, api e futuro dell’alimentazione” will be held on Monday 29 December 2025 in Lazise at the Dogana Veneta, organized by the Regional Association of Beekeepers of Veneto. The event will present a scientific, interdisciplinary examination of agrochemicals’ role in bee declines and the connections between pesticides, ecosystems and production sustainability; participants include beekeepers, technicians and farmers, with speakers such as Maria Bortot and Vincenzo Cordiano.

Sessions will cover environmental and health impact analyses, updates on low‑impact integrated pest management and presentations of monitoring projects such as APinVIGNA, while practical solutions on the agenda include organic and biodynamic farming and the use of PIWI resistant varieties. The day will conclude with a public roundtable to compare experiences and discuss future approaches to bee protection and food safety.
