Salò Launches Photo Exhibition on 20th Century History

The photographic exhibition «Ciao ‘900»

«Ciao ‘900» is the title of a photographic exhibition aimed at illustrating the events and figures that have shaped Salò’s history throughout the 20th century. The idea is to collect photographic documents and posters from public entities, associations, schools, private archives, and businesses, selecting the best materials to be published in a catalog.

The Municipality invites residents to collaborate in collecting material, which should be delivered to the cultural office on the ground floor of the Palazzo Municipale (in the former offices of the municipal police). A participation form must be filled out, indicating the name and surname of the person submitting the images, captions, and the owner’s consent for exhibition and catalog publication.

Contributions from citizens and collected materials

There are local enthusiasts who, in recent years, have accumulated thousands upon thousands of postcards, photographs, documents, and more. Their contributions would help the initiative take off, ensuring excellent quality.

Meanwhile, the Book shop managed by Gigi Gozza, the only retail point around the lake dedicated to collecting and promoting books on Gardesan topics, has also taken on the role of «Centro informa parco». It distributes informational material from the Montana Community.
