They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to the arma‘s magazines.
They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance authorities, the police, firefighters, or municipal Vigili.
How to Recognize Scams
They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or publications unrelated to the law enforcement.
Therefore, be vigilant and immediately notify the true Carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
