Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Trick Garda Businesses

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda region, proposing subscriptions to the force’s magazines.

These are not military personnel, but fraudsters who, on various occasions, claim to belong to the finance police, police, fire brigade, or the Municipality’s police.

How to recognize scams
