Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Target Garda Hoteliers and Shops

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to the force‘s magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Comune municipal police.

How to recognize scams
