They pose as Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda areas, offering subscriptions to the force‘s magazines.

These are not military personnel but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, firefighters, or the Municipal police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or publications unrelated to law enforcement.
