Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Boosts Support for Vulnerable Groups

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various voluntary organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total funds allocated for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization opportunities for vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting these initiatives by providing surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
