Cornuda Social Support Project Enhances Inclusion for Vulnerable Groups

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project in support of the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Goals

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meeting and solidarity.

Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved parties.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
