Cornuda Social Support Project for Vulnerable Groups Launches in 1996

Cornuda Agreement

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, among them the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total allocated funds for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity.

Role of institutions and associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting these initiatives, ensuring oversight and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
