Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Inclusion with €100K Funding

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of senior citizens and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and to improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, creating opportunities for community bonding and solidarity among residents.

The role of institutions and associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved parties.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
